Multiple vulnerabilities in Apache Struts

Affected products: Apache Struts 2.x

Affected versions: Apache Struts versions prior to 2.3.4.1.

Description:

The vulnerability allows malicious people to conduct XSS attacks.

1. The vulnerability is caused due to insufficient input validation in the parameters of the marker. This can be exploited to execute arbitrary HTML and script code in a user’s browser session in context of an affected site.

2. An error in the processing of the request parameters. This can be exploited to exhaust CPU resources and cause a denial of service.

Solution: Update to version 2.3.4.1 from the manufacturer.
