If you find signs of infection on your computer malware, do not panic. Perhaps the reason for failure is not a virus, worm or Trojan, and other software or hardware problem.

In any case, you should take the following steps:

– Disconnect your computer from the Internet;

– If the operating system does not boot, boot the computer in Safe Mode (turn on your computer, press and hold F8, then choose Safe Mode in the menu) or boot from a rescue disk;

– Make sure that your computer has the latest version of the virus database. They also create a report with a list of infected files and malware found on your computer.

If the antivirus does not detect malware, your computer is probably not infected. Check the hardware and software installed on your computer (remove unlicensed software and unwanted files) and install the latest updates for your operating system and applications.

If necessary, contact the technical support of the manufacturer on your computer’s antivirus software. Check with a support professional, how to send a sample of the infected file to the virus lab for analysis.
