Symantec CorpAt the time of release Windows 8.1, Symantec has announced a new version of Norton 360, Norton Internet Security and Norton AntiVirus. In addition to compatibility with the new operating system Windows 8.1 products have been fundamental changes in the system of protection, performance, and usability.

Gerry Egan, director of product management at Symantec, said: “According to research by Symantec, the number of web-attacks increased by 30% in 2012. One of the reasons was the high frequency of detection of faulty vulnerabilities on sites that use cyberhawks. As a result, users can be attacked even when they visit the official web-site. With the latest versions of Norton, we offer a comprehensive security system to protect against today’s threats, and does not affect the performance.”

Key enhancements in the latest version are new advanced recovery features that use Internet resources to repair the system files Windows, that have been hacked by malware.
